All of us have, at some point or still continue to, dream of traveling all across the world. This generation wants to become travelers, not tourists. The fundamental difference between a tourist and a traveler is that the former goes to places, lives in hotels and goes for sight seeing while the latter lives with the locals or in such parts of the place and looks for adventures to do around instead of simply going sight seeing.

1. The northern Lights

When talking about Europe, the places to visit and things to do are endless. But the northern lights are one such phenomenon that cannot be witnessed anywhere else in the world. Thanks to instagram, these are becoming a popular destination for travel but that in no way will diminish its magnificence. You can see the Northern lights from almost all Scandinavian countries. But the best view, according to us, is from the Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort East Village in Finland. This is an Igloo Hotel. So you get to live in an igloo and while laying on bed, the northern lights are right above your head.

2. Mount Thor

Located in Nunavut, Canada, Mount Thor is the steepest peak on Earth. This peak is made of pure Granite. All the mountain climbers, this is your holy grail. This place is secluded and yet worth the travel.

3. Kruger National Park

The one place that comes to mind when we think of Animal saffari’s, its South Africa. Kruger National Park located in South Africa is one of the famous wildlife safari destinations, and for good reason. This is place simply not one that can be skipped on the trip to South Africa.

4. The coldest inhabited Village

Oymyakon is a rural locality (a selo) in Oymyakonsky District of the Sakha Republic, Russia. The average temperatures here are -30 to -50 celcius. People living here have been doing so for generations and have now created a stable life for them in the cold. The schools and the town is only closed or comes to a hault after temperatures fall below -52. We can’t even imagine living in such conditions, can we? But this experience is worth a try for adventure seekers once in a life time. Be sure to carry all the possible warm clothes on earth to visit this place ;).

5. Karijini National Park

Most people have never heard of Karijini National Park. Its the 2nd largest national park in Western Australia and also one of the most incredible destinations in all of Australia yet its remote location makes it evern more special. Located approximately 1400km from Perth, its an easy access. One of the most gorgeous places to visit in Australia, this is the perfect place for adventure reserves. The most incredible part of this park is the Hanock Gorge.

6. Night Volcano Trekking

Instead of taking a flight or a bus from Yogyakarta (Java, Indonesia) to Bali, volcano trek your way there. If you are luck you will get the opportunity to volcano trek at night. Not so much as a trek as a slippery two hour slide amidst darkness and straight into a volcano’s crater, very closer to the huge sulfur flames. Try this only if you have the heart for an ultimate adventure. Once you climb to the top, you will notice the sunrise of your life along with the magnificent volcano lake.

7. Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Located just about 60 miles south of Yellowstone National Park, winter travelers flock to this place in search of upscale ski resorts. Its absolutely perfect for the ideal winter skii experience without having to spend a lot to travel to Europe.That’s not all, the Grand Teton National Park in the neighborhood is for awe-inspiring vistas, and you can also relax in the Granite Hot Springs.

8. Machu Picchu

This UNESCO World Heritage site should be on every travelers list. It is a one time adventure. In the lost city of the Incas, this place has12 acres of temples, aqueducts and enormous gardens. You can also visit the neighboring city of Cusco to enjoy an unusual combination of Incan and Spanish cultures.

9. Penguins on Antarctica

Antarctica is notorious for its extreme cold temperatures. However, people have started visiting this isolated continent. All snow animals from polar bears to Penguins can be seen here. The latter being a more common attraction and a treat to the eye. Visit Hill in the Weddell Sea in Antarctica to see Emperor penguins. This is the only place on earth they can be seen.

10. Rome

Rome has been rated as the best place to visit in 2017-18. This place is well known for its rich history and mystic roots that are also debated by historians. But there’s something mysterious about Rome, and everyone who has visited it will agree. This capital city has had a influence on art, government and architecture ever since the times of the Roman Empire. You will find an ideal mixture of ancient history and modern culture here.
