The town was founded sometime in the 12th century BC, and it is filled with many interesting locations. This town is located in the southern shores of the island. It is said that Kourion was founded by Argives Stesenor during the Persian war. The area is filled with all kinds of history that can be read in various historic writings.

What to Expect in Kourion

Kourion is a beautiful and interesting town that is covered with majestic cliffs. It was once founded by Greek conquerors, and it is filled with a lot of interesting and entertaining history. The Romans eventaually overtook the area and their unique architecture can be seen all over the town. One of the most interesting features of this area is the Amphitheatre that was constructed sometime in the 2nd century. If you’re a fan of beautiful landscapes as well as charming architecture, you will find that Kourion is a mecca of beauty and entertainment.
