I know, I know, you will hate me for today’s travel photo, but I just happened to run across it and couldn’t stop myself. This is called disc potatoes – or disc-fried potatoes. It’s basically because that dish you place directly above the fire looks like a disk. The taste, other than being awesome, is somewhere between baked and fried. To make them taste even better, a few pieces of meat (pork mostly) are placed around the potatoes, so that all those yummy juices can enhance the taste. I couldn’t stop eating. We had this in Maramures, Romania.
