Family owned tour company Allen Marine Tours announced it will offer weeklong cruises of southeast Alaska starting next year. The trip will start and end in Sitka and glide around Admiralty Island from May 14 through September 3, allowing tourists to dive into Alaska’s culture, history, wildlife and environment.
The passengers embarking in the eight-day seven-night long cruise will also enjoy time ashore in  Hoonah at Icy Strait Point, Glacier Bay, Juneau, Tracy Arm and Hobart Bay. The tours will be performed on  two former Cruise West vessels leased by Allen Marine Tours. The former Cruise West vessels, Spirit of Columbia and Spirit of Alaska, are now called Admiralty Dream and Baranof Dream and will each host 70 passengers.
“What we’re excited about is we’re showing off the area where we live,” Allen Marine Vice President Jamey Cagle said of the new venture, Alaskan Dream Cruises. “Our family and company have a lot of history here. We’re good at hosting people three to five hours on tours and we would like to see if we can do more.”
