For most young travelers, nightlife spots at their destination are extremely important. After visiting all the hot historic, architectural and fun attractions of a certain city, they will want to relax and have fun on a crazy night out. You might be hosting the hottest concerts of the season, but if people don’t know about them in advance, you might end up making less money than you planned. ReverbNation, a Facebook app initially designed for brands, has just launched a Venue version of its application, helping you tune your Facebook Page for maximum exposure, attracting both concert goers and bands looking for a concert host for their next gig.
The new free Facebook app focuses on making a venue’s page content easier to share and more interactive. A ReverbNation Facebook page does not simply display a concert schedule, it also features playable tracks from performing bands, links to tickets and additional band info, and the option to share a certain show on fan’s wall, allowing the concert to spread virally through fans’ Facebook networks.
The pages also prompt visitors to join the venue’s mailing list, an interesting features as when a fan joins such a list via Facebook, the venue owner has a lot more information on him than they would get through a typical email singup form.
“We’ve talked to venues for years and we always wanted to do something with them. Gigging and playing live music is a big part of what a band does, and venues are a huge part of that. So we wanted to bring the venues into Reverbnation’s family,” Ferol Vernon, VP of product for ReverbNation told Mashable.
Vernon also added that the next version of the venue app will integrate Facebook Events as well, making planning easier. It will also include access to statistics showing user engagement, such as shares, reach of shares or page traffic.
