Kingfisher Airlines and Royal Caribbean International Announce Partnership

Kingfisher Airlines Ltd and Royal Caribbean International have partnered to offer new bundled packages and extra travel services and benefits to cruise aficionados and frequent fliers alike.

The new travel packages are offered exclusively to Kingfisher Airlines King Club members residing in India. According to a media statement, Kingfisher Airlines’ frequent fliers will earn miles when booking a qualifying Royal Caribbean International cruise.

For example, a balcony stateroom on a 4- to 5-night cruise will be worth 1,500 miles while  6- to 8-night cruises in a Junior Suite will be worth 2,500 miles. These miles can be later redeemed for upgrades and free airlines tickets.

For Royal Caribbean, who’s ships sail regularly out of Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong, this the first alliance of this type and magnitude, but it is apparently a smart move, as Kingfisher Airlines flies regularly to each of these locations from cities all over India. In its turn Kingfisher Holidays will now be offering vacation packages that include cruise and airfare, making it easier for Indian tourists to choose their holiday destination.

To mark this strategic partnership between Kingfisher Airlines, a member of the Oneworld Alliance, and Royal Caribbean International, one of the largest cruise lines in the world, the two travel companies will offer one free 4-night cruise along the Isles of Southeast Asia on the Legend of the Seas vessel to a lucky couple which will be flown in on a Kingfisher jet.
