Hawaii or Florida? Tough to decide on one for your next summer vacation. And once you decide on the state, which actual resort is the best suited for you? Kiss From the World’s guide to paradises in both states might help you decide. Or who knows, you might just want to try them all!
With an abundance of beautiful coastline all over the country, you might be hard pressed to decide on which to claim for your next vacation. Sun soaked states like Florida and Hawaii boasts many options. Here are some:
Waikoloa, HI
While the island of Oahu is home to the more famous Waikiki, the Big Island boasts a spectacular coastline of its own. A stretch of beach unmarred by any high-rises or commercial buildings borders the village of Waikoloa. In fact, some parts of the coast still look much as it did before. This is good news for those seeking a more remote destination. The relatively under developed land offers a unique impression as if stepping into a secluded private island. Punctuate your paradise experience at Mauna Kea where you can enjoy the sumptuous scenery in luxury.
West Palm Beach, FL
West Palm Beach stays true to the Florida image. Think turquoise waters, soft sands, palm trees, and blue skies. Life here focuses around the beach and the beautiful year-round weather. Gear up for hours of outdoor activities like scuba diving, sport fishing, sky diving, and flyboarding. Or channel your inner Floridian with a good book, Mai Tais and a beachside nap. An ideal location for all of this sun soaked fun? Try the Colony Hotel. This tastefully decorated hotel is pleasantly pink and conveniently located.
Clear Water Beach, FL
Do not overlook Florida’s west coast when considering a beach destination. Sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico and the consistently cool breezes should be reason enough to visit Clearwater. If those weren’t enough to tempt you, try the crystal blue waters, colorful sunsets, and all the exciting water sports there is to try. Hop into a mini aircraft and go Sky-Surfing. This hands-on activity will allow you to tour the beach from above and point out your beach front accommodations at Sheraton Sand Key Resort.
Kapaa, HI
It’s no secret that Hawaii has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Some of those belong to the island of Kauai, nicknamed “the Garden Isle”. Like its nickname suggests, Kauai is abundant with lush landscapes. The coastal town of Kapaa is no exception. Distant green peaks from volcanic origins fringe Kapaa’s secluded beaches. Apart from the beach, find excellent hiking and alternative outdoor activities. Kauai is one of the smaller islands in the Hawaiian chain which should encourage travelers to explore. Set up base in a two bedroom ocean front condo.
Wailea, HI
Maui is a cross between Oahu’s city life and Big Island’s countryside. Combining development and preservation extends to the area of Wailea. This part of the island mixes a handful of secluded beaches with luxury resorts. Find designer boutiques at the Shops at Wailea or treat yourself to a spa day at the Four Seasons Resort. Don’t forget to spoil your adventurous side with some snorkeling, hiking, or kayaking. If all else fails, shack it up at the beach for some good old rest and relaxation.
