If you’re looking for a state where art, culture, outdoors activities, and lush holidays by the beach are all possible, then Florida is definitely a destination you should consider. From the foodie experiences to the art and culture, from relaxing in the sun to getting your blood pumping with water sports, or even a touch of history, everything can be part of a Florida vacation. Away from the crazy life of Miami, there are many destinations in the state you should explore, and I have three great recommendations for you.
Boca Raton, Enjoy the Sunny Beaches and Explore Nature
Perfect for a typical beach getaway, Boca Raton is also famous for its art scene, parks, child-friendly activities. The Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, the Museum of Art, the two miles of beaches, all lifeguard-attended, or the science museum for children in Sugar Sand Park are all worth the trip. To help you navigate the many Boca Raton hotels, I have two suggestions for you.

Tropical Touch Hotel Near the Beach
Only half a mile from the Spanish River Park beaches, the Boca Raton Plaza Hotel & Suites welcomes guests in tropically inspired rooms, featuring marble bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, refrigerators, and microwave ovens. Depending on the room you choose, you could enjoy a balcony or a separate sitting area. Enjoy the free parking, take a dip in the pool, or visit Florida Atlantic University and Mizner Park, or go a bit further to reach downtown Boca Raton.
Pet-Friendly Budget Hotel
If you don’t mind a two-mile trip to the beach and enjoy comfortable budget accommodations that come with plenty of perks and amenities, try Ramada Boca Raton. The comfortable suites come with spacious living areas, sofa beds, and desks. They also feature a granite wet bar, complimentary toiletries, and Wi-Fi. There’s also free parking.
Explore Tampa from an Airport Hotel
A delicious destination for foodies, Tampa is a gem for those looking to explore culture and heritage with its 10 top-rated museums. Great for shopping and famous for its waterfront, Tampa—and Tampa Bay in particular—is very popular among Florida travelers. I recommend the Tampa Airport Marriott hotel to make your trip in and out easier. Enjoy all traditional Marriott comforts, including plush bedding, coffeemakers, entertainment, and free Wi-Fi, in sound-proofed rooms. Stay active at the pool or in the fitness center. You can literally step out of the hotel and into the terminal.

Luxury Retreat in Sunny Isles Beach
You cannot come to Florida without enjoying a proper, Miami-adjacent, beach vacation. And when it comes to lounging and pampering, Acqualina Resort and Spa has it refined to an art. This Mediterranean-style pet-friendly resort boasts spacious rooms, lush beds, and sleeper sofas, along with private terraces to enjoy the city or sea views, and bathrooms with marble floors and a Jacuzzi tub. Guests can enjoy the hotel’s three pools and luxurious spa, the three on-premise restaurants, and the luxury shops at Aventura Mall. The Miami Design District and the airport are a short 30-minute drive away, making the hotel a great base to visit Miami.
