Free Trip to Space, the Promise of a Never-seen-before Giveaway

How does a free ride aboard a suborbital space plane piloted by veteran and ex-NASA shuttle commander Rick Searfoss sound to you? Well, it is nothing more, nothing less than the promise of a never seen before giveaway organized by the members-only travel site TripAlertz in collaboration with XCOR Aerospace (Mojave, California), a private rocket developer.

According to Mr. Searfoss, “flight participants accompanying me will not only experience the exhilaration of the launch, but mankind’s rarest view of all — Earth from space — its beauty, its fragility and its lack of borders. The sheer magnificence of it will be potentially life altering”.

The competition is open to anyone over the age of 21. In order to take part in the giveaway you will have to become a member of the TripAlertz site and either refer your friends or secure your spot as a reward for spending cash on the site.

In addition to the edge of a space trip aboard the XCOR’s suborbital space plane Lynx, the prize package includes a five-days stay at the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa (Paradise Valley, Arizona) during which training and preparation, medical evaluation and screening will occur. A cancellation insurance policy is also included.

Subject to certain rules and restrictions, the winner will also have the choice of offering the prize as a gift to a family member, friend or charity.

“The flight profile of Lynx provides an exciting and enriching personal space experience which promises the ride of your life. The two-seat Lynx Mark I vehicle takes off horizontally from a runway with a powerful ascent reaching over twice the speed of sound on its way to the edge of space. The profound blackness of space, the spectacular view of Earth’s curvature, and 1,600 miles of viewing are unforgettable sights while experiencing weightlessness at apogee,” declaired XCOR’s chief operating officer, Andrew Nelson.
