Coinciding with the new brand campaign “The Places We Take You Aren’t Just on the Map”, the National Geographic Channel launches the “Off The Map” inviting travellers, explorers and photographers to show them their favourite places.
NGC’s new brand campaign can be viewed at www.natgeotv.com/theplaceswetakeyou, while the contest is an open invite to people to discover their inner photographer and to share their special places.
Starting May 13, all those interested in joining the contest with the tagline “The places we take you aren’t just on the map” should post photos on Instagram using the hashtag #NGCTakesYou. Photos can be submitted until July 1.
The winner will be announced on the same social network and will receive a state-of-the-art National Geographic camera package that includes a Nikon-D3100 14.2-megapixel digital SLR camera, a National Geographic canvas camera bag and the “National Geographic Complete Photography” book that provides useful “how-to” tips from some of the National Geographic’s photographers.
The contest will also be promoted on TV through commercials. To find out all the details about this contest visit www.natgeotv.com/ngctakesyou and follow @NatGeoChannels on Instagram. The contest is valid only for U.S. residents.
National Geographic Channel provides interesting programs worldwide, in 171 countries and 38 languages to be more specific. Viewers all over the world enjoy their TV shows and find useful the information presented there.
As any brand – even the most famous ones – it needs from time to time campaigns that will connect it with its final customers – the viewers in this case. In an era of people loving to post photos in almost any social network they have at their disposal, a contest inviting them to show their favourite places will definitely be a huge success.
