America is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with over 70 million international travellers a year visiting the country. Whether you’re seeking breathtaking scenery, iconic architecture, world class entertainment, golden beaches, wonderful wildlife or more, there’s something for everyone here.
But with a staggering 9.8 million square kilometres (3.8 million square miles) to choose from, you might need some help narrowing it down when deciding where to visit. With that in mind, here’s our favourite destinations in the US.
Miami
Sitting on the south-eastern tip of Florida, Miami is known for its beautiful sandy beaches, vibrant Hispanic culture, Art Deco architecture, and sport. The city is infused with a Latin vibe and the Little Havana and Little Haiti neighbourhoods are popular destinations, allowing visitors to try salsa dancing or enjoy an authentic Cuban sandwich.
South Beach is a must see too, with its white sand, crystal-clear waters, and sprinkling of celebrities. The delicious seafood restaurants that line Ocean Drive are a destination in themselves.
The Art Deco Historic District in Miami Beach features over 800 pastel-coloured buildings and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For the best city views, take a ride on Skyviews Miami, the 200-foot-tall Ferris wheel towers over Bayside Marketplace.

Sport lovers should head down to Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins NFL team. Alternatively, if soccer is more your thing, then the Chase Stadium is home to Inter Miami CF and Lionel Messi.
Las Vegas
