Travel Photo of the Day: Lazy Afternoon on Cruise Boat, Oludeniz
A day cruise around Oludeniz is a very lively event. Turkish music blasting on board the boat, people running around the beach when you depart, lunch served on the boat, stopping here and there and jumping in the water, the jet ski circling around, enticing tourists to take a ride, it’s all a bit overwhelming and enjoying it means you’ll be drained at the end of the day. Maybe that’s why everything seems to slow down in the afternoon and, along with the changing light, the atmosphere is suddenly different. That was when this photo was taken, when everyone was getting lazier, quieter, more open to silently enjoying the scenery.

Passion for Travel and Relationships
I wasn’t really planning on writing an essay today, I had other things to share with you, but Robert Schrader’s post on Leave Your Daily Hell got me going and I just found myself thinking about relationships and travel lovers. Simply put, if you have the travel bug, it will affect your relationships. In a good way or in a bad way, but it won’t be something minor. And here comes the tricky part, it’s not just your love relationships, friends and family might also be affected.

I once was in a relationship with a boy who had never been abroad and wasn’t really keen on traveling before he met me. In our two years of relationship we went on a trip to Athens, a New Year’s Eve getaway to Istanbul, a nice little beach holiday in Oludeniz, a trip to Holland and another one to Germany. Did he have fun? Of course he did. Did he enjoy it as much as I did? Of course not, it wasn’t his thing. Did his family complain about him not spending enough time with them during his vacation? They did and it created some tensions. Did he think part of those trips were a waste of money? Probably. Read more…
Under the Radar Tips When Traveling Abroad
Traveling is an exciting thing, and even those who are doing so for business can usually find pleasant little escapes to make the trip worthwhile. While any trip can be exciting, traveling abroad can be especially wonderful. It’s important to be prepared for these trips. Everyone usually knows the “make a copy of your passport” and “let your bank know you’ll be out of the country” tips, but the most important preparations that a person can make are often some of the most overlooked ones.
Security Tips
Everyone knows that crimes can happen anywhere in the United States, and this holds true for foreign countries as well. Due to the fact that laws and policing agencies around the globe may be far different from those in the States, it’s important to take a few safety measures. Read more…

After all, if you enjoy the experience, you can always plan a longer visit in the future.
1) The Philadelphia Museum of Art – If you love art, then definitely set aside some time to tour this museum.Although it is very possible to spend an entire day enjoying what many consider to be the second best art museum in the country, you can easily get at least an overview of the collection in two to three hours.
Planning Your Own Trip, Travel Pleasure and Addiction

I haven’t been on a trip that has been planned and booked by anyone other than myself for a long time, with a small exception of a Prague getaway when I accompanied my father and his wife. The reason is very simple: I pretty much think I can do better. Plus, I hate larger groups, and that’s just inevitable when you want to visit more exotic destinations.
Over the past 6 years, I’ve gotten quite good at finding the type of accommodation that I like, at booking my flights, research the destination and making my own itinerary. I like the feeling of always having the option to change the plan. Even when I travel with friends, I prefer smaller groups and I love it when it’s people who  understand we don’t always have to do the same thing at the same time. Read more…
